Well obviously Ed's former boyfriend wasn't Alfons because Alfons was himself to the very end. You've got me wondering now if Ed's former boyfriend was alter!Roy or something. :/ Side note here. When I said I wondered what kinds of hell Ed and Alfons went thru, I wasn't just thinking of them as boyfriends and the hell that would entail. I also thought, however briefly, that even if they weren't together, that Alfons would be subject to scrutiny too just because he was Ed's roommate. The times they were quite paranoid. :/
